Every day, we hear stories from all over Illinois about people, businesses and organizations fighting to survive our state’s budget crisis. But too often, the media coverage fails to provide the context – that all of these struggles are caused by Illinois’ failure to pass a fully funded, responsible budget.
So we asked members and partners of the Responsible Budget Coalition to join the #OneInAMillionIL social media campaign. We wanted to let people know that every individual story is part of a bigger narrative – that one million men, women and children in Illinois have been harmed by our state’s budget crisis. Thank you to all those who participated in our #OneInAMillionIL campaign!
